Alberta Lodge is an all new two story home located next to Million Reservoir and Beaver Creek Reservoir and just 19 miles from the Wolf Creek ski area. With mountains in every direction, you will enjoy picture perfect views during your stay here. In the winter you can ski, snowboard, ice fish, and snowmobile. In the summer there is fly-fishing, golf, and extensive off-road trails available to mountain bikers, 4-wheelers, ATV’s, and motorcycles. National forest access is right up the street.
The outside of Alberta Lodge features two covered patios on the sides of the house and an uncovered patio on the front of the house. The south covered patio features a 7 person hydrotherapy hot tub and a gas grill for cooking.
The inside of Alberta lodge features 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large game room, a living room, a kitchen, and a full size washer and dryer. The entire house is heated from underneath the floor using radiant heat with individual thermostats in each room. Most importantly, there is plenty of hot water. Everything is beautifully decorated from the floors all the way up to the aspen wood ceilings.
Satellite television is all HDTV and available with two separate receivers to allow different channels in the game room and living room. Wireless internet is now available throughout the house via satellite. There is no charge for the internet access and download speed is somewhere between dial-up and DSL. Connection requires 802.11 wireless capability and there is NO ethernet connection. This a complimentary service that works well most of the time (weather permitting); however, there is no refund available if connection difficulties are encountered. It is the best service available in the mountains but it is not perfect.
The downstairs living area features a fireplace, three leather couches, a 42 inch wall mounted flat screen television, a DVD player, a VCR, a satellite receiver, and easy to use connections to plug in your own camera or video game system.There are over 40 DVD movies to pick from.
The game room has plenty of room for a large group. Seating includes a large round game table (up to six people), two futon couches, a two person billiard chair, and several bar stools. To play, there is an 8 foot slate billiard table, a large air hockey table, arcade game that has several different game options, board games, card games, books to read or trade from and a large television,
a Harmon Kardon Hi Fi stereo system, a satellite receiver, a DVD player, a VCR, and easy to use connections to plug in your own camera or video game system. This room can also be used as a 5th bedroom by laying flat the two futons into two full size beds. The game room is actually the best room in the house to sleep in due to the large windows and a great view of the stars. There are also two privacy dividers that stand up if needed.
